What happens if I am ill?
If you are feeling unwell and unable to come to work, stay at home and let Kate know via Slack/email.
If you are ill for more than two days, please go to the doctor and get an illness certificate (we require one for legal reasons). Please forward it onto Kate and keep her informed on when you will be coming back.
Otherwise, rest up and get better soon!
How can I submit a holiday or work from home request?
Please use this lovely form to submit a holiday or work from home request.
Holidays
Before requesting holiday, please check the “hy.am Internal” calendar and see whether another direct team member is already taking holiday. We try to avoid people within the same projects being away at the same time.
If not, please submit your request using the form above. You will receive feedback generally within 48 hours. Once approved, Kate will add it to the calendar and track the days on the team leave sheet.
If you can’t remember how many days you have remaining please check this sheet here. Before going away, make sure to do a handover and set an out of office reply.
Work From Home
Make sure you submit your work from home request atleast 24 hours in advance and that once it’s approved you let your team know. For the full details, please check out this post.

Where can I find my payslips, again?
You can find your payslips and other official documents by logging into your Proacda account.
Can we buy something for the studio?
If something has run out or you think our daily life could be improved with an addition of something, please just submit a request using this form and Kate will let you know if your wish has been granted. 💫
I need to travel somewhere for work, how can I book a train/flight/hotel, etc.?
There is of course a form for this, please complete this one and Kate will sort it out for you. 👌
I had to buy creative breakfast/croissants for a meeting, etc., how do I get this money reimbursed?
To submit an expense, please log into your Proacda account. Select “EXPENSE CLAIM” and follow the instructions, making sure you upload a scan of your receipt. You will get the money reimbursed at the end of the month along with your salary. If you have questions, please ask Kate.
I need a courier, how can I book one?
Please complete the template below and send it to Kate via Slack. Please allow plenty of time, sometimes the couriers can need 2-3 hours during peak periods.
- Pick-up Address - where to pick up the order.
- Delivery Address - where to drop off the order.
- Item - what do you need to transport.
- Type of Courier - City / Overnight
- Size & weight - of the package/s
- Pick-up Time - pick up from address A
- Delivery Time - drop off at address B
- Client & project - if applicable
How do I log into the wifi?
To access our main wifi, please select the network “hy.am studios” our password is: “pleaseletmeusethewifi”. If we have a guest, please give them our “guest” network, this is “hy.am guest” and the password is: “welcometohyam”.
How do I connect my laptop or iPhone/iPad with the meeting room airplay?
- Macbook: Hit the airplay icon in the menu bar and choose “hyam TV”.
Airplay Desktop - iPhone/iPad: Swipe up on the home screen and select “Screen Mirroring” you will then be able to select “hyam TV”.
How do I make a conference call?
Whilst we often use Google Hangouts to call with various people in multiple locations, sometimes this is not possible. Therefore to organise a call please follow these steps:
To set up a conference call, call the number below and put in the code. Send the number and code in advance to all participants via email or meeting invite:

Everyone needs to call the number, and enter the code to join the call. If you need a number that is not in Germany:

- Choose the number for the country that works best for the client and use the same code listed above.
What are our work hours?
We generally work about 40 hours per week, but we don’t expect you to work a typical 9 - 6. Please see an outline below:
Mondays: We always start our Weekly at 9 am sharp, please make sure you arrive 5 minutes early and prepared.
Tuesday to Thursday: These days are flexible, meaning you can start anytime between 7 am and 11 am. Please note, everyone must be in the office between 11 am and 4 pm. Please keep an eye on any meetings you might need to participate in and plan your time around those.
Fridays: We always have Creative Breakfast on Fridays, meaning a punctual start at 9 am. The assigned person for Creative Breakfast will need to come in a bit earlier to buy breakfast and set up.
